A dusky, smoked purple — closer to aubergine than lilac — which is what makes the florals work. Printed large in antique gold, rust and coral, then gone over by hand with beads, sequins and thread so each bloom lifts off the surface rather than sitting flat in the print. Fine white line-drawn leaves run behind them, which is the detail you only catch up close. The puff-sleeve blouse is finished with a beaded latkan-drop trim. It arrives ready to wear.
