The body is kept light — scattered gold butis between fine vertical lines, then a row of standing floral butas as the skirt widens — and the weight is saved for the hem, where jharokha arches stand side by side under palm fronds, each one filled with its own beadwork.
Below that the border closes in a run of scalloped hearts picked out in soft pink against the gold, which is an unusually warm finish on a red bridal piece and the detail most people notice first.
