Rani pink raw silk, worked in zari, stone and resham. The panels are built as a garden: cypress trees and flowering shrubs standing between narrow pavilions, and at the centre of each panel a kalash with a pair of birds perched either side of it — the old auspicious motif, drawn here in pale pink, sage and powder blue against the gold rather than in gold alone.
That colour inside the embroidery is what separates this from most rani pink bridals. Gold on pink usually goes hot and flat; the pastel resham keeps every motif readable and stops the whole skirt turning into one bright surface. The hem closes in a chevron run above arched niches, each with its own peacock, under a deep scalloped edge.
The raw silk blouse is embroidered front, back and sleeves. It comes with two net dupattas so the drape can be built up for the ceremony and eased off after, and is finished with a matching kamar belt and latkans.
