A shaded saree — soft pink at the pallu deepening into dusty mauve through the body, so the colour changes as the drape falls. The join is worked over in cut dana, with a beaded tassel border marking where one tone gives way to the other.

Ombre is easy to do badly; the trick is keeping both ends in the same family. Comes with an unstitched blouse piece.
