A dusty rose-pink net worked so densely in rustic zari that the base colour only shows through in patches — which is the point. The zari is deliberately antiqued rather than bright, so it reads aged gold instead of new, and the pink underneath warms it from below rather than competing with it.

Panels climb the skirt in arched cartouches filled with stone, sequin and resham florals, and the hem closes in tiered worked bands under a scalloped edge. The net dupatta carries scattered butis and the same deep border, and beaded tassels hang at the waist.

Rustic zari is the harder finish to get right — too clean and it looks costume, too dull and it dies under lights. This one sits where it should.
