Chiku gold velvet, cut in eighteen kalis. That number is the whole point — eighteen separate panels give the skirt a deep, weighted sweep that a four-panel lehenga cannot fake, and velvet is heavy enough to hold the shape rather than collapse into it.
The body is left plain so the fabric reads as fabric. All the work sits in tiered bands of zari and sequin — one at the waist, then stacked runs deepening towards the hem — so the eye travels down and the flare gets its frame.
The dupatta is not an afterthought here: a designer soft net in double panel, worked heavily in stone. Two panels give it real presence when draped rather than the thin single layer most sets settle for, and the stone work carries the same light as the skirt.
