Floor-length and covered corner to corner — this Celestial piece pairs a lehenga skirt with a front-open gown overlay in champagne net, worked over its entire surface in cutdana and sequin. There is no plain ground anywhere on it: a fine diamond jaal runs the length of the gown, scroll and paisley motifs break it at the bodice and hem, and the whole thing shifts between silver and warm gold as the light moves.

The gown opens at the centre front over the lehenga skirt beneath, so the silhouette reads as a gown standing still and as a lehenga in movement. Full sleeves are worked in the same jaal. The matching net dupatta carries scattered floral sprays and a heavily embroidered scalloped border that trails behind.
