Red raw silk carrying about as much handwork as a lehenga can hold. Zardosi, zari, stone and moti are worked into large floral bouquets across the panels, with peacocks folded into the arrangements, and the hem descends in three distinct registers — a chevron run, then a band of arched niches, then a deep scalloped edge with a fan motif set into every scallop.

What lifts it out of plain gold-on-red is the colour inside the work: sage, coral, jade and rust picked into the flowers, so the embroidery has its own palette rather than reading as one sheet of metal. At arm's length it is a red bridal lehenga; close up it is a garden.

The raw silk blouse is worked front, back and sleeves and finished with a beaded fringe. Two net dupattas come with it — one heavily embroidered with a scalloped border for the ceremony, one lighter for after.

Key Components

  • Lehenga: Red Raw Silk with zardosi, zari, stone and moti handwork
  • Blouse: Red Raw Silk, worked front, back and sleeves with a beaded fringe
  • Dupatta 1: Net, heavily embroidered with a scalloped border
  • Dupatta 2: Net with lighter scattered work
  • Work: Zardosi, zari, stone and moti handwork; floral bouquets, peacocks and tiered hem registers

Ideal For: Wedding and Reception — a bridal piece for the ceremony itself.

The lehenga & blouse are shipped semi-stitched. Colour may vary slightly due to photographic differences.
