The skirt is left plain, a clean field of red raw silk, so that everything is saved for the hem: a deep border where pairs of peacocks sit above fans of gold, tall floral bouquets stand in arches below them, and silver beaded drops hang between, finished with a zigzag band and a scalloped edge.

The V-neck blouse crosses over at the waist with a wide embroidered band, its bodice worked in a lattice. Two net dupattas with scalloped embroidered borders and wavy lines of sequins come with it, along with a kamar belt and a pearl latkan with red tassels. Made for the wedding.
