Deep maroon raw silk, worked in gold cutdana, bead, zari and sequin. The skirt is built in columns — tall kairi motifs filled with a fine diamond jaal, alternating with narrow vine stripes, so the eye is pulled downward and the flare reads taller. Sunburst florals anchor the base of each panel, and the hem closes in a peacock-and-vine band under a deep scalloped edge.
The raw silk blouse is embroidered front, back and sleeves with a bead-drop fringe at the hem. It comes with two dupattas — an organza and a net — so the drape can go heavier for the ceremony and lighter after, and is finished with a matching kamar belt and heavy latkans.
Maroon rather than red: deeper, less bright under camera flash, and easier to wear again.
