The border is the piece. A deep scalloped edge, worked in rows of beads and cutdana and set with small dark stones, runs up the front of the drape and down the pallu, while the body stays quiet: a woven pattern of tiny geometric shapes in champagne gold.

The blouse comes already stitched, in viscose Kanjivaram fabric, with the scalloped embroidery repeated on the sleeve cuffs and small floral motifs across the front. It is an easy pick for a festive evening or a party, and for the mother of the bride.
