The skirt starts in soft peach at the waist and deepens through coral into rani pink, worked with a fine gold-outlined cell pattern that widens as it falls. At the hem it opens into large lotus-petal fans in coral and pink, set on a band of plain mustard silk that lets the colour above do the talking.

It is lightweight for the amount of work on it, and still opens into a full, generous flare.

The blouse carries the same idea in miniature: a sweetheart neckline with a scalloped edge, wide straps and leaf-shaped points down the hem, covered in sequins and beads in pink, silver and gold tones. The drape dupatta repeats the petal pattern, with a pink net trailing behind.
